Project Description Each group or individual will select a topic of interest to them. Another option is to pick an organization in one of the subcategories listed below. Your group/individual has been contracted by this organization to project potential positive and negative influences of Information Technology (IT) on the company over the next 3-5 years. You must provide justification for your predictions. Use and cite whatever references you believe to be appropriate. Include in your paper a strategy for ensuring that the company will attain the positive influences and will be able to minimize the risks assocaited with the negative influences. A reference must be used and cited properly. Below is the criteria by which the project should be done, and the criteria for which you will receive a grade. Every project must have formal approval of the instructor. Each group/individual will write their Project Proposal and submit the proposal in writing via email to wjpatterson@sullivan.edu. The instructor reserves the right to alter, add to, change, modify, etc any groups proposal. This project is to be done at a level consistant with a junior or senior level student, and the work should reflect that level of achievement. This project will be a course long project. The project will be due on the final night of class. The Deliverables on that evening are a written paper, 6-8 pages in length (Title page, Table of Contents, and bibligraphy not included in the total pages), The subcategories are as follows:
Note-this is not a complete list, you may suggest an industry outside this list for approval. This project will be evaluated on the groups ability to apply the course material to "real world" situations. Criteria for evaluation include:
